With the succes recorded in Nigeria, as GEM Executive Director Keturah Shammah turns 40 this year, her wish is to expand Girls Education and Empowerment Programs to Sierra Leone. Through her leadership, Girls Education Mission International has already changed the lives of many girls in Nigeria through initiatives like the IamPossible Mentorship Program, scholarships, and vocational training.
Now, we have an exciting opportunity to scale these transformative programs beyond Nigeria and bring them to Sierra Leone, where many girls face similar barriers to education and empowerment. To celebrate the 40th birthday of GEM’s Founder and Executive Director, Keturah Shammah, we are raising funds to expand our efforts and reach more girls in need.
