This project will restore education for 800 children in the Angwantaki community, Nasarawa State, by transforming the community school in a state of disrepair into a high-quality learning environment. We will provide the children with qualified teachers and school supplies, and strengthen the community's capacity to keep them in school.
The Angwantaki community in Nasarawa State is facing a severe education crisis, leaving 800 children without access to a quality education. The local community school, their only option, is in a state of extreme disrepair with classrooms lacking ceilings, proper flooring, and essential furniture like desks and chairs. Teachers have been driven away by low salaries, leaving the children with little to no instruction. The families, who are small-scale farmers, struggle to afford private education.
NAF provides education and resources to children who have been impacted by the education crisis. We will renovate the school by installing ceilings, flooring, and furniture. We will also hire qualified teachers and provide them with a sustainable salary. Every child will receive a back-to-school kit that includes a school bag, uniform, books, and other materials. Additionally, we will empower the families by providing farming tools, fertilizers, etc., to enable them to care for their children.
This project will directly impact 800 children and their families, providing them with the opportunity to rise above poverty through education. The skills and resources provided will empower these children to build a brighter future for themselves and their community. By investing in this project, you will ensure the problem of inadequate quality education in the Angwantaki community is resolved for years to come.
