Celebrating Progress: A Big Thank You to Our Amazing Donors!

Since our last report, the momentum of our progress in Angwantaki has only grown stronger. Your continued generosity is turning our ambitious goals into daily realities for these children. The classrooms are full of energy, and walking through the school now offers a beautiful, tangible view of the impact you are making.

Major Progress Milestones

We are thrilled to share that several major goals from our last update have been successfully completed, creating a more dignified and functional learning environment:

1. Academic Breakthroughs: Remarkable Exam Results!

The true measure of our success is inside the classroom. We recently compiled the students' report cards from last term, and the results are outstanding! The data shows that our students are truly absorbing what is being taught by their teachers. We have seen a massive improvement in foundational literacy and numeracy, proving that these children are highly capable when given the right environment and support.

2. Growing Enrollment: 131 Eager Learners

Word of the school's transformation is spreading fast. Our total registered student body has risen to 131 students, and we are incredibly proud of our gender-balanced enrollment:

  • 71 Boys

  • 60 Girls

3. Expanding Horizons: Welcome, Primary 5 and 6!

Our educational reach is growing upward! We have officially expanded our curriculum and classes to include Primary 5 and Primary 6. This ensures that older children in the community who were previously left without options can now continue their foundational education.

4. Outfitting Our Students: Uniforms and Bags Delivered!

The wait is over! We have officially distributed brand-new school uniforms and school bags to all 119 students from our initial cohort. Seeing the children arrive at school dressed for success, with sturdy bags to protect their learning materials, has brought an immense sense of pride to the entire community.

Our Next Big Challenge: Preparing for Next Term

Our success has brought us to a critical turning point. The community demand for quality education is so high that our initial two renovated classrooms can no longer contain our growing numbers.

To maintain order and ensure a healthy learning environment, we have had to ask a long waitlist of new students who want to enroll to wait and officially resume next term. We know that enrollment will surge significantly the moment the new term begins, and we need to prepare immediately to receive them:

  • Expanding Our Teaching Faculty: With the addition of Primary 5 and 6, our current staff is stretched to its limit. We urgently need to hire more qualified teachers specifically for these higher primary classes, while simultaneously raising funds to sustain our existing teachers who are doing incredible work.

  • Renovating More Classrooms: Because our first two classrooms are completely filled, transforming the next block of classrooms is no longer a future plan—it is an immediate operational necessity before the next term starts.

  • Providing Desks and Chairs: To properly accommodate our rapidly growing numbers, we urgently need to scale up our classroom infrastructure. A major priority right now is producing and installing sturdy new desks and chairs for the students, so that every child has a proper, comfortable place to sit and learn when the new term begins.

Every uniform stitched and every new grade level added is a direct result of your belief in this community. We are building the plane as we fly it, and we cannot do it without you. You are helping us rewrite the future for the children of Angwantaki.

Thank you for investing in the future of Angwantaki!
