A Warm Thank You to all our Donors!

We are thrilled to share an update on the progress being made in Angwantaki, thanks to your generous support! Our goal to provide safe, structured education for 800 children is taking shape rapidly. The school is buzzing with activity, and we've already welcomed over 100 children to classes, even as we finalize the furnishings and materials.

Key Milestones Achieved

Your donations are translating directly into tangible progress, ensuring the Angwantaki school will be ready to serve the community:

1. Dedicated Teachers Hired

We have successfully employed three highly motivated teachers who have already started instruction. Their immediate presence has allowed us to begin teaching the children right away, building foundational knowledge while other preparations are finalized. We currently have over 100 children in regular attendance, eager to learn!

2. Infrastructure Improvements

We are focused on ensuring the classrooms are safe and conducive to learning. To this end, we have completed two critical steps:

The ground inside the classrooms has been professionally levelled up.

All old and damaged ceiling materials have been removed, improving safety and air circulation.

3. Creating Local Jobs and Comfort

We are prioritizing the Angwantaki community by hiring local artisans, ensuring that project funds boost the local economy while preparing the school:

Uniforms & Tailors: Two tailors within the Angwantaki community are currently sewing 100 school uniforms (for both boys and girls). This effort not only clothes our first cohort of students but also supports local businesses.

Furniture & Carpenter: The furniture production is also a local effort. A carpenter from the Angwantaki community is busy producing 50 chairs and desks. Once completed, this furniture will comfortably accommodate 100 children, creating a proper learning environment.

Aesthetic Finalization: We have also contracted a painter from the community who will begin painting the classrooms immediately after the carpenter completes the installation, ensuring a bright and clean learning environment.

Next Steps and Looking Ahead

Our momentum is strong, and we are working hard to complete the remaining tasks:

Furniture and Aesthetic Completion: We anticipate the final delivery of the 50 desks and 100 uniforms very soon, followed immediately by the classroom painting led by our local painter.

Full Mobilization: Once all essential materials are in place, we will formally launch our full enrollment drive to reach more of the 800 children target.

Ongoing Maintenance: As we transition from renovation to operation, our focus will shift to ensuring sustained maintenance of the classrooms.

Thank you once again for your incredible belief in this project. Every child attending class today is a testament to your generosity. We can't wait to share the first photographs of the children in their new uniforms, sitting at their new desks!
