Project Completed! It is with great pleasure that I write to you to inform you of the successful completion of our project. Because of your generous donations we were able to help not only one but two schools in Guyana. We increased our impact from 400 students to over 800 students.
We shipped two boxes of weighing over 600 pounds of supplies. The boxes included over 1,000 books, equipment for school library, teaching supplies and school supplies. Through our efforts both Timehri Primary School and Golden Grove Secondary School now have school libraries for the students to use. To ensure that the books would be well received by the students, we were very deliberate in our book selection. We were sure to include brand new books for the students as well as books that were written by Caribbean authors. We also sent sufficient school and are supplies so that each student and teacher had access to the materials they needed.
Both the students and teachers were very excited welcomed the donations. We have included a special video message from the Principal at Timehri Primary School and students are Houston Secondary School. According to Principal, Mrs. Pham at Timehri Primary School, “the students now have meaning things to occupy them”
