Well! Well! Well! Caroline , what an amazing lady!! We met Caroline early last year through our community work. She had just been tested positive for HIV and AIDS and was referred to our ‘Give Me Another Chance’ project.*
Caroline seemed traumatized, withdrawn, confused and seemed not to dream anymore. She didn’t have a source of income.
We went around our social network in search of a person in need of a house help. Fortunately enough, a perfect family came forward and that is how Caroline got hired.
Once in a while, Caroline could spare a few hours in a month to come to our Breathwork and support sessions. We didn’t feel this was enough. We wished that Caroline could do more to address her personal challenges.
She later relocated from Nairobi to her husband’s ancestral land in the countryside where life was less demanding compared to urban life.
Since then we lost contact with Caroline until a few weeks ago when she phoned me. I didn’t recognize her voice until she introduced herself. This was Caroline contacting me in gratitude for what we did for her at a time she had just broken down. Caroline said that our intervention was indeed an inspiration to her. She is doing amazingly well in the village. She has started a small retail shop that is really successful. She is also practicing food crop farming that has kept her family running.
Caroline is now an active member of a support group in the village. She is looking forward to hosting Tiba Africa Foundation. She wants Tiba Africa Foundation to introduce Transformational Breath® to her fellow group members.
This is amazingly inspiring to learn that little things we do, go a long way.
We thought we should share it with you since it’s through your continuous support we have continued to run the projects of Tiba Africa Foundation.
Thank you!
*Give Me Another Chance is a Tiba Africa support project that works with people struggling with their AIDS/HIV diagnosis. It offers counseling, Transformational Breath, information, dietary advice and advice about setting small businesses.
