Help displaced Batwa women and girls in Bunyakiri, South Kivu, DRC, meet urgent food and household needs. Within 12 months, this project will provide 100 displaced women and girls with emergency food supplies, cooking utensils, oil and essential household items, helping restore dignity and stability in displacement camps.
Displaced Batwa women and girls in Bunyakiri, South Kivu, have fled conflict and now live in overcrowded camps with little food, few household supplies and limited income. For families already struggling to survive, a shortage of basic food and cooking items can turn displacement into hunger, fear and loss of dignity.
Within 12 months, the project will provide 100 displaced Batwa women and girls in Bunyakiri with emergency food and household kits. Each kit will include 25 kg of cassava flour, 8 kg of rice, 5 liters of palm oil, 1 kg of cooking salt, two cooking pots, two cups and one empty container. These practical supplies will help families eat, cook and manage daily life with greater dignity.
Over 12 months, emergency support for displaced Batwa women and girls in Bunyakiri will help families protect food security, household stability and dignity while they remain displaced. Reaching 100 women and girls directly, with an estimated 1,200 people benefiting indirectly, can ease immediate pressure on vulnerable households and strengthen their ability to cope with prolonged humanitarian crisis.
