Sanuriro Batwa Community Development Association is very delighted to share with you the progress that is being made to raise funds to buy farmland for our displaced people in Uganda. This project is aimed at raising funds for the transformation of their lives and this comes as our second report since we started raising funds on the GlobalGiving platform; your continued support and commitment have been paramount.

In March, April and May 2022, your support enabled us to train and support 40 Batwa with agricultural practices, and also catered for 10 Batwa by providing food relief and weaving materials. Further still, your support enabled 10 Batwa to learn weaving skills and produce better products to support the community. In our intended project, we currently propose purchasing at least an acre of land - that is our goal with the existing resources we have in place.

SBCDA is also focusing on delivering support to Batwa children: with educational services and health facilities, among other initiatives, so as to break the cycle of poverty and food insecurity we suffer as displaced people. That notwithstanding, the challenges of the project still outweigh the achievements - and we need more donations to afford the land we so desperately need.

We are still positive and still waiting for more funds to enable us make more progress - and we do assert that without your support, we would not have made it this far. We promise further progress and may God richly reward you all for your generosity! Many thanks.
