We are thrilled that now the rains have stopped that we will be able to start work on the Youth Friendly Space in Simonga.
We are in the process of getting the designs finalised with the District Health Office and the Principle Infrastructure Officer for the Province. Once the designs have been approved we will be able to start the renovations of the container.
The community are really engaged in this addition to their facility and are ready to support where necessary.
The YFS is being implemented at Simonga along side other quality improvement interventions including:
- renovations at the main facility
- extension to the maternity annex
- staff house
- ablutions up to national standard
- accessible walk ways
- community training
This is a very exciting time for the community and we are looking forward to having the YFS up and running.
