Creating Livelihood Opportunities for Women through Skill Development in Fashion Designing

Empowerment of women girls through skill training
Empowerment of women girls through skill training

Respected Donor,
Warm Greetings from SERUDS,

We are truly grateful for your generous sponsorship towards our skill development initiative. Your support plays a vital role in creating livelihood opportunities for economically disadvantaged women. Your sponsorship of the fashion designing skill training program has contributed immensely to the empowerment of women and girls in our community.

For the past 18 years, we have placed a strong emphasis on skill development programs designed to uplift women and girls, enabling them to create sustainable livelihoods and build confidence within their communities. Our self-employment training programs have already made a significant difference in the lives of many women and their families. Through these programs, destitute women and girls have gained valuable skills in tailoring, embroidery, and fashion designing. Some have even gone on to establish their own micro-enterprises, offering services such as blouse stitching, zari work on sarees, and the production of school uniforms.

With the skills they have acquired, these women are earning supplementary income of approximately 4500 rupees per month, which greatly helps support their families. This additional income enables them to send their children to school regularly, creating a positive cycle of empowerment.

The training programs are conducted in Mandlem Village and Praja Nagar, where we provide women from underprivileged backgrounds with raw materials such as threads, needles, clothes, and scissors to practice their craft. At the end of each batch, we honor the participants with a course completion certificate and offer orientation sessions on marketing techniques. We also guide them on how to access loans from financial institutions and banks to expand their small businesses.

Thank you for supporting this noble cause and contributing to the sustainable livelihoods of women in need. Your generosity is transforming lives and fostering economic independence for many families.
