We generated 40 copies of textbooks that benefited: 2,000 deaf students and more than 160 teachers who will enrich their strategies to promote and share the development of more accessible literacy materials in schools for the deaf in Argentina. In turn, this achievement made it possible for families to follow the teaching processes at home, which strengthens the main objective of the aid program so that deaf children can have access to writing and reading. The work that we do on a daily basis in Canales has a very important impact since, in Argentina, there are 95,000 children and young people under 20 years of age with hearing disabilities. 95% come from hearing families who do not know sign language.
