This project will provide large and strong tents for weekly training sessions in seven rural districts of Rwanda, creating safe, dignified learning spaces for over 1,000 women and girls who are gaining vital skills training in health, rights, and income generating (business) activities. By shielding them from environmental distractions, we support their determination to build better futures for themselves and their families.
More than 1,000 women and girls in rural Rwanda attend weekly training sessions outdoors, often sitting on the ground with no protection from sun or rain. Many come pregnant or with babies, walking miles to learn vital skills in health, rights, and business. Without tents or seating, the physical discomfort affects their ability to focus. This project will provide shelter and benches to create a safe, dignified learning environment.
This project will provide seven large tents, one per district, plus benches and fans to create safe, shaded learning spaces. These improvements will protect over 1,000 women and girls, including mothers who attend with their babies, from sun and rain during weekly sessions. A dignified environment will help them focus, participate fully, and gain skills to improve their lives and support their families.
This project will provide large tents, benches, and fans at seven rural training sites, creating safe and comfortable spaces for over 1,000 women and girls. Many are mothers who bring their babies, and the tents will protect both from sun and rain during sessions. By improving the learning environment, participants can better engage in training on health, rights, and income generation, building skills to support themselves, their children, and their communities.
