Greetings from Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI)!
BPNI is currently conducting a counseling specialist training on Infant and young child feeding (an integrated course on Breastfeeding, Complementary feeding, HIV & Infant Feeding and Growth Monitoring) in Delhi, for preparing a skilled pool of counselors to support mothers at the ground level.
The training is taking place at Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital, Delhi with 23 participants from medical, nutrition and social work backgrounds. BPNI has appointed 4 National Trainers all doctors from ace government hospitals of Delhi, Government of India to conduct the training.
The training will take place from 17-23 December 2018 at Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital Delhi. This group of 23 IYCF -breastfeeding counselors will be equipped with skills to identify and manage lactation issue with mothers at the hospital and home and peer level.
