Dear Esteemed Friends &Partners,
Our pupils were mesmerised by an education trip to the Wilson airport in Nairobi. This is a dream of every child here in the slums to see an aeroplane on the ground. Children see it only flying overhead. Now they got a life time experience to see it on the ground. They did not only see it but they had all time to touch it. It was great adventure to see it landing and taking off. Those children who say " when I grow up I would like to be a pilot" they saw their dream been realised by this encounter. They saw how massive an aeroplane is. Mosty high above the clouds it may look like a kite to those who have never had a flight or seen it on the ground. Our "Greener Life School" pupils had that opportunity to see it, touch it and feel it. They discovered an aeroplane makes very round noise when taking off. The runaway looked like a 100 metres sprinter field for "Lightning Bolt" the greatest sprinter of all time. Some had no idea before an Aeroplane take off it has to sprint almost a kilometre at high speed to gather momentum . For them that education tour was a dream come true.
