Our multi-sports court seeks to address poor youth and children's challenges by providing a safe space for children to spend their time, reducing their likelihood of turning to drugs and crime. It will also combat the high levels of idleness and related risky behaviors that are prevalent in the community by providing opportunities for physical activity. Through the facility, children will have access to quality sports and opportunities.
The children of Nakaziba Village face immense challenges due to the absence of basic services and overwhelming poverty. Many children cannot afford the cost of uniforms, shoes, lunch, and books, and often turn to drugs and crime at an early age. In addition, the community is afflicted with an unemployment rate of 80%, an HIV/AIDS rate of 30%, and high teenage pregnancy.
The Ba Nga Afayo Initiative Uganda's multi-sports court seeks to address some of these challenges by providing a safe space for children to spend their time, reducing their likelihood of turning to drugs and crime. It will also combat the high levels of idleness and related risky behaviors that are prevalent in the community by providing opportunities for physical activity. Through the facility, children will have access to quality sports and opportunities.
We believe that the completion of the Ba Nga Afayo Initiative Uganda's multi-sports court has the potential to make a significant positive impact on the lives of children in Nakaziba Village in Uganda and the surrounding communities. It will provide a valuable resource to combat some of the challenges facing the community, as well as offering opportunities for children to develop important life skills through sports.
