Following the earlier delays, construction activities resumed in September 2025 after the pending project funds were received. This allowed the project team to move forward with key construction phases and regain momentum toward completing the multi-sports court at the Kayunga Community Center.
Progress Summary (September 2025 – Present)Funding Update
Truth Design Academy Support: Our social enterprise, Truth Design Academy, continues to provide supplemental financial support to cover ongoing construction needs and site improvements.
Community Participation: Community members and local partners remain actively involved, contributing labor support, monitoring progress, and maintaining strong ownership of the facility.
Construction Progress
Drainage System Completion: The drainage works have now been completed, ensuring that the court will remain usable throughout the year despite heavy rains common in the region.
Current Status
Concrete Base Preparation: Preparatory works for casting the concrete base are currently underway. This phase involves leveling, reinforcement preparation, and final site adjustments to ensure a strong and durable foundation for the multi-sports court once the concrete is poured.
Remaining Work
The final phase of the project focuses on enhancing safety, usability, and durability of the facility. Remaining activities include:
Court surface painting and line marking
Installation of fencing around the court
Procurement and installation of multi-sport equipment
Final site finishing and preparation for community use
