Project Overview:
The construction of the multi-sports court at our Kayunga Community Center is central to Ba Nga Afayo Initiative Uganda’s mission to provide rural children with a safe, structured space for sports. This facility will encourage physical activity, teamwork, and community engagement for youth in Kayunga District.
Progress Summary (July – October):
Fundraising Success:
Over the past few months, we have made significant strides in fundraising through offline initiatives to secure the necessary funds for the multi-sports court construction. Community events, local fundraising drives, and partnerships with local businesses and sports enthusiasts in Uganda have raised substantial resources, allowing us to finalize the initial phases of the project. The response from community members and supporters has been incredibly positive, demonstrating the community’s shared commitment to this facility. These efforts have brought us close to reaching the total project cost needed to complete the construction phase.

Challenges and Immediate Needs:
Financial Update:
With the recent fundraising efforts, we have reached $3000. However, we continue to seek support to ensure we can manage any unforeseen costs related to drainage and finishing touches for the court.
Impact of Completion:
Once completed, the multi-sports court will provide the following benefits:
We are grateful for the ongoing support that is bringing this vision closer to reality. With construction set to begin in November, we look forward to sharing further updates on the progress and ultimate completion of the multi-sports court, which will be a lasting asset to the Kayunga community.
