Help complete sports court for rural children

The construction of the multi-sports court at our Kayunga Community Center is a critical project aimed at providing rural children with a safe and structured environment to engage in various sports activities. This facility will foster physical fitness, teamwork, and community spirit among the rural youth in Kayunga District.

Current Status:

1. Land Clearing: The designated land for the sports court has been successfully cleared.
2. Basketball Posts Installation: We have installed basketball posts, marking a significant milestone in our construction efforts.

Challenges:

1. Grass Overgrowth: Due to delays in the next phase of construction, grass has started to grow on the cleared land, making it unsuitable for use.
2. Flooding Issues: The court area experiences water accumulation on one side during rains, further hindering its usability.
3. Concrete Base: The most critical need at this stage is to cast a concrete base. Without this, the court cannot be utilized effectively.

Immediate Needs: To move forward with the project and make the court operational for the children, we urgently need support to:

1. Cast the Concrete Base: This involves leveling the ground, preparing the surface, and pouring concrete to create a durable playing surface.
2. Drainage Solutions: Implementing proper drainage to prevent water accumulation and ensure the court remains usable throughout the year.

Financial Overview

• Remaining Budget: A detailed budget report is available upon request, highlighting the expenditure and the remaining funds.
• Additional Funding Required: To complete the concrete base and address the drainage issues, we estimate needing  $15000 USD.
