Dear Supporters,
Greetings from the Bothoor Al-Khaer Organization
We are delighted to share with you how your support is transforming the lives of children in iraq, Iraq. Thanks to your generosity,
As another school year comes to a close, we want to thank you for your support of children with cancer in Iraq. Thanks to your support, families are not left alone during the most difficult time of their lives. Children can continue to receive essential treatment and care, and enjoy their childhood despite their battle with cancer.
For many children, these days are filled with celebrations, meeting up with friends, and looking forward to summer vacation. But for children fighting cancer, the end of the school year is very different.
Instead of classrooms, they spend their days in hospital rooms, recovering from surgeries and chemotherapy. Many children study remotely or are absent from school altogether as they fight for survival, just like 12-year-old Mohammed.
Before his cancer diagnosis, Mohammed loved swimming, playing outdoors with his friends, and studying math at school. Everything changed in May 2025 when doctors diagnosed him with bone cancer after what initially appeared to be a minor sports injury.
Since then, Mohammed has undergone approximately 4 surgeries and 2 rounds of chemotherapy. Today, he can't walk due to severe osteoporosis, and doctors continue to make difficult decisions about his treatment.
Mohammed misses school terribly—his classmates, the breaks between classes, and even his math tests. When he gets home between therapy sessions, his friends visit him and play video games with him. These childhood moments are more precious than ever.
For children like Mohammed, cancer doesn't just affect their health; it robs them of friendship, moments of innocence, and the joys of childhood.
Your support helps children continue fighting not only for a cure but also for the chance to return to school, for friendship, and for childhood.
Donate today to support children battling cancer in Iraq.
Thank you for standing with children like Mohammed in Iraq.
