Help Children with Cancer Access Treatment!

Aidyn is a 17-year old from Kazakhstan.  In September 2025, he faced a devastating diagnosis — osteosarcoma (bone cancer) of the lower part of the right humerus. This news was a huge shock for Aidyn's retired parents and his older sister.  Before his illness, Aidyn was a typical teenager: he studied well, made plans for the future, and enjoyed his life.  After graduating from high school, he enrolled into college, but the the pain in his right arm that began in late summer worsened to a point that he had to visit a doctor.  After just five days of college, he was hospitalized.

Immediately after the diagnosis, he began treatment at the Pediatric Surgery hospital in the capital, Almaty. Aidyn underwent three cycles of chemotherapy, followed by a complex surgery to install an endoprosthesis. After that, he completed three more cycles of maintenance chemotherapy.

The family sincerely hoped for positive results and believed in Aidyn's recovery. Despite his young age, he showed incredible strength, courage, and patience throughout the painful procedures and long treatment process.  Unfortunately, in February 2026, the follow-up examinations revealed a progression of metastases in Aidyn's lungs.  

At that point, Aidyn's doctors in Kazakhstan recommended seeking more advanced and specialized treatment methods in the hospitals abroad.  The family made an urgent decision to continue treatment in South Korea.  Aidyn is now receiving treatment at Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH). According to the preliminary treatment plan, he will need several cycles of chemotherapy, surgery on his lungs, and a bone marrow transplant. The hospital has issued a preliminary treatment estimate of $300,000, which is beyond Aidyn's family's means.

Both of his parents are disabled retirees. The family already used up all of their financial resources toward Aidyn's treatment, and are forced to turn to charitable organizations and compassionate people for help.  

Korean doctors are continuing to fight for Aidyn's life and they give hope for his recovery. Every single day is a battle for Aidyn's survival.  But the family needs our support to continue the battle.
