Dear Donor,
We are very grateful for your generous donation to support our project. We want to let you know that we're still very much engaged in this project and would have executed it and send it's report.
The reason why we haven't carried out this project is because of the change in the monetary policy of our country which is affecting everyone, especially the poor.
The Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in Nigeria is around the corner and the Nigerian government is doing everything possible to prevent vote buying in order to make sure that the election is free and fair.
As a result, new naira notes of 200, 500 and 1,000 were redesigned and a deadline given for the old notes to be returned. It is believed that this was done to make everyone, especially the politicians who are keeping huge amounts of money in their houses, to return them. Daily withdrawal limit for the new notes are kept at 10,000 naira (about $20) and to even make a withdrawal is very difficult, as the banks are so much crowded.
We're finding it very difficult to even withdraw some money which we'll use to feed and pay our bills, talk more of carrying out our projects. We hope the Federal Government looks into this soon and resolves it, so that people can be able to withdraw as much money as before from their banks, which will be enough for them to take care of their needs.
Kindly be patient and continue to stay engaged with us, as we'll send another report, once this challenge is over and we're able to start making withdrawals from the bank as before.
May you be blessed in all your endeavors, thanks a lot.
Best regards.
