MyBodhiTree.org is building Modern Learning Centers (MLCs) across Thailand within already established schools. We provide the equipment, online tools (and a fresh coat of paint for the room) so that teachers can continue teaching online even while quarantine measures are being implimented. With your help we can do this all for FREE.
Foundation schools are tuition free schools in Thailand. They get very little government funding but serve the families of students who cannot afford a privatized school systems When Covid-19 hit Thailand, their only response was to close. There were no options for students to continue their education. There were no communication plans in place. There were no online tools or equipment for students to use. When individual families, not schools, need to self-quarantine we will need a solution.
MyBodhiTree's mission is to help already existing schools advance their student body to modern online teaching standards. We also want to ensure that students are able to receive important messages from the school and continue their courses online during times of crisis.
By helping fund this project you will be enabling otherwise unfunded schools with an internet connection and equipment to continue teaching any place, anytime, on any device. The school will be able to continue to conduct live courses online, communicate safety measures and lesson plans, and educate more students with less teachers. The long-term impact will be immeasurable for the communities you are helping but we will make sure to keep you updated every step of the way!
