We don't know his age or home, but one name: "Siagi". This precious little boy was abandoned by his parents and was rescued to Mama Ngnina Children's home in Kisumu. Mama Ngina provides care and outreach services for approximately 150 children, ranging in age from zero to young teens. These children all have their own stories, and sadly abandonment due to extreme poverty is a common thread.
Space in the home is limited and resources are scarce. The children depend largely on the generosity of private donors, Mama Ngnina's small staff, and volunteer caregivers to meet children's basic needs. Thanks to you, Siagi and the other youngsters at Mama Ngnina's now have cloth diapers. Without your generosity, they wouldn't have any diapers at all.
Baby Siagi's future is unknown. He's still in a probationary period waiting to see if either of his parents will come back. If not, he'll be given up for adoption. By having diapers, he now stays clean, dry, and comfortable while waiting for his forever family.
The social workers want you to know how thankful they are to you for reducing their burden. It is truly an amazing thing you are doing, and I can not thank you enough.
Asante Sana,
~ Stephanie
