By Luz Amuchastegui | Program Director
Almost half of the year has gone by and we the kids participating on the Code your future program are closing a stage and getting ready to start a new challenge.
The stage they will be closing during the next couple of weeks is the use of Scratch- a kids friendly coding platform- that was the first step to understanding what coding is about in a fun and playful way. They will code a whole game/ application in teams and then will be their own judges in terms of how well designed and coded it was.
The next challenge they will be facing once they finish the Scratch project is to work with “real” coding languages such as Processing.JS and then code their own websites. As you can imagine this is going to be a huge challenge, that we know they will be able to dominate with the help and guidance of our amazing teachers and volunteers.
Check out our website for more updates on this and other programs that we develop, and please contact us and share your thoughts and ideas through our social media!
