By Luz Amuchastegui | Program Director
As we told you in our previous reports, during the last time of 2014 we were focused on planning the coding program that we developed thanks to the knowledge shared by our friends at Harvard University and the Digital Literacy Program.
Coding is a completely new thing for our kids, so the first thing they needed to understand that coding is just another way of communicating, in this case, communicating with a computer so that it can follow our instructions.
After going through some dynamics, to understand how each of us communicate, it was time to start coding. By using “Scratch” a coding platform developed my MIT the kids are writing their first codes and discovering a new world.
Amazing things are happening on this program, and thousands more will come!
