Our last quarter has been full of challenges. We had to say goodbye to our program coordinator since he is moving abroad seeking for new adventures, and of course the children were sad to see him go. But as always someone new comes full of new energy and enthusiasm. Our new program coordinator brought new ideas and inspired the kids to innovate and go beyond their limits. The result was a blog in where all children create, edit and produce content about their reality and their social issues. To do that they had to become 'reporters' covering other events organized by their peers in other programs. Was very fun to see how they built stories, interview their classmates and took pictures in order to make things 'news-worthy'.
Meanwhile in the US, our program director Luz Amuchastegui took part of the Global Mentoring program of the US Government for Emerging women leading for development (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IHXop_mie4&feature=youtu.be). During her participation on the program she had the chance to improve her skills and plan some new strategies for the future, and even meeting Oprah and tell our story.
Thanks to your support we could have another quarter of quality activities and we are able to look to the future with more challenges and dreams!
All the best to you and looking forward to our next contact.
