“The program is really important because it brings
knowledge of our current reality...and what are the issues that affect our community.”
- Nilza, 17 years old, Mozambique, PCI Media Radio Program Listener
Thanks to your generosity, we’re able to produce life-changing programs for people in communities most at risk of adverse health, environmental, and social outcomes. Your support allows us to continue our effective programming that 90% of listeners say has changed their life.
Mozambique, where Nilza lives, has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy, child malnutrition, and maternal deaths in the world. View the link below to hear her share how Ouro Negro has changed her life.
Ouro Negro da Malta is a radio program produced by teens to promote discussions and improve understanding among teens and young people on topics that range from dealing with peer pressure and gender equity to health and sexual health.
While the radio dramas are fictional, the guest call-in shows bring the reality of teens and the wider range of listeners into the studio. During the program, teens share their knowledge and experiences, and they make decisions about the various themes and issues addressed in the radio dramas.
