I am so excited to share the most recent photos of the construction of the Kenya Connect Learning Resource Center. As you will see, the interior walls are being plastered, windows are being installed and a red roof is being constructed. We are thrilled with the progress and expect that the building will be ready in early fall. Later this spring, Southern Middle School teacher Laura Groo will be bringing a small group to Wamunyu to work with Kenyan teachers on "best practices" in teaching and will also visit the construction site. We look forward to their report.
Meanwhile back at home we congratulate Kenya Connect interns Aashi and Jordan for winning a video competition for their Kenya Connect video. The $1,000 prize will be used for technology for the new center so they can begin their international book group.
If you are interested in the latest information from Kenya Connect including project reports from enrolled schools, additional photos of the LRC, and blurbs from Field Director James Musyoka, we encourage you to join the Kenya Connect Community Facebook page.
As always, we greatly appreciate the support that you provided to make this building become a reality!
