Help Muslim families in Chiba, Japan build a permanent mosque and community center where they can pray, learn, gather, and nurture the next generation of Muslims
For Muslim families in Japan, however, access to a mosque and Islamic community facilities can be much more challenging. In Chiba and surrounding areas, Muslim communities are growing as international students, workers, families, and Japanese converts seek places to worship and connect. Yet many communities still face limited access to suitable prayer spaces and facilities for Islamic education and community activities.
For many Muslims, attending Friday prayers or joining Eid celebrations can require long journeys. During Eid, available prayer spaces can become overcrowded, forcing communities to rely on temporary rented halls or other limited spaces. For Muslim children growing up in Japan, the challenge is even greater. They need a safe and welcoming place to learn the Qur'an, understand their faith, build friendships, and grow with a strong sense of identity and belonging.
This center will provide a permanent and welcoming space for: Daily prayers and Friday prayers Eid prayers and Islamic celebrations Qur'an and Islamic education for children Youth activities and community programs Support and connection for Muslim families A place for Muslims from different backgrounds to gather and support one another
