Helping Puerto Rico get electricity by sending solar. Project phase implementation team purchased solar charging stations from Now Solar http://www.nowsolar.co/ who will use all funds to buy solar panels to send and set up in Puerto Rico to help bring electricity and light. Phase 2 implementation team will fund a solar electricity run medical clinic in a community without a hospital
Puerto Rico is in desperate need for power. We would like to do our part and provide as much power to them as possible with solar. While we are sending some ourselves we would love to get others involved in helping and make this a statement to the world on how you power back up after a natural disaster.
Phase I - "Solar-Powered Communication Charging Stations" Impediment to the recovery effort is the inability to communicate and coordinate. These stations will provide each community a location to gather and charge their cell phones. Phase II will be to fund solar power to a medical clinic.
Phase I is now complete and funded 18 solar charging stations to communities in need such as Naranjito. Phase 2 is taking place and will fund a medical clinic in a community of 5000 residents that doesn't have a hospital.
