Helping Puerto Rico get electricity by sending solar. Project phase I of $10,000 to $20,000 is headed by Heather Dawn Thompson, Harvard educated lawyer of Native-American run company Now! Solar http://www.nowsolar.co/ who will use all funds to buy solar panels to send and set up in Puerto Rico to help bring electricity and light. Phase II will be solar home kits. The overall project is $100,000 of which we are striving to raise 85,000 here
Puerto Rico is in desperate need for power. We would like to do our part and provide as much power to them as possible with solar. While we are sending some ourselves we would love to get others involved in helping and make this a statement to the world on how you power back up after a natural disaster.
Phase I - "Solar-Powered Communication Charging Stations" ($10,000-20,000) Impediment to the recovery effort is the inability to communicate and coordinate. These stations will provide each community a location to gather and charge their cell phones. Phase II will be solar home kits to help quickly get as many people as possible access to light and air in their homes.
