We are writing to inform the Global giving Community that Otia Victory died today in Yaounde Cameroon. We are grateful for the effort you all made to ensure that Victory can survive. Thank you so much for the love and support you've shown for the past two days. We will be in touch with all the individual donors with regards to the donations you made. Thanks
Otia Victory of 8 months old has a heart defect that leaves her weak and restless. Her mother and father suffer watching her difficulties and knowing that surgery would allow her to enjoy life, grow up strong and lively, but that they can't afford it because the surgery they need is very expensive. Therefore CISEGD Cameroon asks the GlobalGiving community for assistance and support for Baby Victory to have an open heart surgery that will give her hope to live and give back to the community.
The solution to Otia Victory's heart defects is a simple surgical correction with very high success rates, but the financial burden is too much for the family to bear the cost of the surgery considering the economic hardship and Anglophone war that has caused untold damage to lives and economic activities in Bamenda Cameroon. Hence, CISEGD Cameroon raises funds to financially sponsor heart surgery for underprivileged children like Victory so that her heart defects are corrected to give her hope.
Children born with heart defects like baby Victory are cured with open heart surgeries which will allow her to live a normal and healthy life. Healthy heart allows her to learn and grow alongside other children and give her the opportunity to thrive and give back to her community in Cameroon. We believe a heart that is healed will be motivated to join the strengthened human community on its positive course- and so the chain will flow from one person to another and from generation to generation.
