Help stop animal suffering in Chiapas, Mexico

DEAR ANIMALIX FAMILY!

Activity report from June to August 2022.

We appreciate your support and trust in our altruistic organization. One objective we have is to avoid the overpopulation of animals in the streets, always in constant danger, therefore, we performed 262 spay and neuter surgeries in San Cristobal de Las Casas 83; in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, capital of Chiapas, 32, and for the first time, thanks to an invitation from the Civil Association COCIDEFA, we went as support and advice to the town of San Fernando, located 2 hours away from San Cristobal, where 147 surgeries were performed.

Another action that generates economic expenses and time is the free veterinary medical consultations and treatments with the invaluable help of the MVZ. Luis Mario Mendez. There were 8 patients, who were treated for various reasons: run over, conjunctivitis, starvation, distemper and burns on the nose and snout (due to the seriousness of their injuries, the latter two were euthanized).

We do not have a shelter, it is being detained in its construction due to lack of resources, for this reason we only rescued Bos who was mistreated, said puppy was dewormed, vaccinated, neutered and happily handed over for adoption, today he is called Totopo. We also moved Mariposa and Estrellita from a rural community to be dewormed, vaccinated and sterilized, then they returned home.

We also support the donation of houses for dogs that live on the street, as is the case with Samson and Pinta. And we feed another four that we cannot protect, they are: Gordo, Sonrisas, Eva and Botones. Finally, they are still under our care without getting adopters: Legs, Nieve, Elektra, Dori and Nikte, the latter suffered from a kidney infection, whose treatment was financially high.

On the other hand, our page Facebook.com/AnimalixAC is always very active, because it is the means to make citizen reports of animal abuse, report missing dogs and cats, search for support for animals in need, etc.

We continue to collaborate with other animal rights groups to pressure political actors to pass laws criminalizing animal abuse.

¡QUERIDA FAMILIA ANIMALIX!

Agradecemos su apoyo y confianza hacia nuestra organización altruista. Un objetivo que tenemos es evitar la sobrepoblación de animales en las calles, siempre en peligro constante, por tanto, realizamos 262 cirugías de castración y esterilización en San Cristóbal de Las Casas 83; en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, capital de Chiapas,  32, y  por primera vez, gracias a una invitación de la Asociación Civil COCIDEFA, acudimos como apoyo y asesoría al pueblo de San Fernando, ubicado 2 horas de distancia de San Cristóbal, donde se realizaron 147 cirugías.

Otra acción que genera gastos económicos y tiempo son las consultas y tratamientos médicos veterinarios gratuitos con la ayuda invaluable del MVZ. Luis Mario Méndez. Fueron 8 pacientes, que se atendieron por causas diversas: atropellamiento, conjuntivitis, inanición, moquillo y quemadura en nariz y hocico (por la gravedad de sus lesiones a estos dos últimos se les práctico la eutanasia).

No tenemos refugio, está detenido en su construcción por falta de recursos, por ello solo hicimos el rescate de Boss que era maltratado, dicho cachorro fue desparasitado, vacunado, castrado y entregado felizmente en adopción, hoy se llama Totopo. También  trasladamos de una comunidad rural a Mariposa y Estrellita para ser desparasitadas, vacunadas y esterilizadas, después retornaron a su casa.

Apoyamos además en la donación de casas para perros que viven en la calle, es el caso de Sansón y Pinta. Y alimentamos a otros cuatro que no podemos resguardar, ellos son: Gordo, Sonrisas, Eva y Botones. Por último, siguen bajo  nuestro resguardo sin conseguir adoptantes: Legs, Nieve, Elektra, Dori y Nikté, esta última padeció una infección de riñones, cuyo tratamiento fue económicamente elevado.

Por otro lado, en nuestra página facebook.com/AnimalixAC siempre está muy activa, porque es el medio para hacer reportes ciudadanos de maltrato animal, reporte de extravíos perros y gatos, búsqueda apoyos para animales que lo necesitan, etc.

Seguimos colaborando con otros grupos que defienden los derechos de los animales, para presionar a los actores políticos a que aprueben leyes que penalicen el maltrato hacia los animales.
