We wish to thank you for supporting the education of school children in Portland. With your support, Global Backpack Project has delivered hundreds of backpacks and school supplies to at-risk children in Portland area schools. We are grateful to our partner organizations: Neighborhood House, Portland Homeless Family Solutions, Native American Youth and Family Services and New Avenues for Youth. These organizations continue to make a big difference in the lives of youth in our community.
Global Backpack Project will no longer be using the Global Giving platform to raise funds for this project. We are pleased to partner with Investments for Developing Communities (IDC) to support at-risk youth. IDC is a grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides education sponsorships for girls and micro loans to wormen in developing countries and education assistance to students in Portland. IDC partners with organizations working for the betterment of their communities through education and economic development. Please visit http://www.idcempowers.org for more information.
Thank you again for your support of Global Backpack Project. We wish you good health and happiness in the new year.
