Help Artists with Developmental Disabilities

Through our DDartists program, Give Chances supports artists with developmental disabilities as they build artistic skills, share their perspectives, and connect with the wider community through their work.

This summer, participating artists completed new artwork and expanded opportunities to present and sell their creations. Original designs by artists including Joon Han, Seojin Jeon, and Doha Sim were developed into T-shirts that preserve the distinctive character of each artist’s work. Artwork cards and artist business cards were also completed for all participating artists, helping them introduce their work and stories to new audiences.

In August, DDartists participated in the Artisan Night Market, where artists and their families experienced the excitement of seeing their work displayed in a public community setting. This opportunity helped strengthen the artists’ confidence and created meaningful conversations with visitors who wanted to learn more about the artwork and the artists behind it.

Looking ahead, Give Chances will continue expanding both online and in-person sales opportunities around our annual gala and community events. We are also preparing an art competition for students and individuals with developmental disabilities. Selected works will be recognized and developed into products such as T-shirts, creating more opportunities for artists to be celebrated, earn visibility, and continue their creative journeys.
