Help Artists with Developmental Disabilities

Dear Supporters,

We are excited to share several meaningful milestones from the past few months of the DDartists program. Thanks to your generous support, our artists have continued to expand their reach, showcase their talents, and build new opportunities for creative and personal growth.

This spring and early summer, DDartists participated in several community events and exhibitions that allowed us to introduce our artists and their work to new audiences across the region.

On May 29, DDartists joined a community partnership concert hosted in collaboration with Classically Connected Inc. We also participated in outreach events at KCS New York on June 6, the Fort Lee Artisan Market on June 13, and an exhibition at Jersey City Art House Gallery on June 14.

These events provided valuable opportunities to share the stories and artistic achievements of our DDartists with community members, arts supporters, and cultural organizations. Through these engagements, we have successfully increased awareness of the DDartists program while strengthening partnerships with local communities and arts institutions. Each new connection helps create a more inclusive environment where artists with developmental disabilities can be recognized, appreciated, and celebrated.

We are also pleased to report progress in developing new products that transform our artists’ creativity into sustainable economic opportunities.

Over the past few months, we completed sample production for seven unique T-shirt designs featuring artwork created by DDartists, as well as five artist-specific art card designs. These products will be introduced at future outreach events, community markets, and local gatherings.

This initiative represents an important step toward building a sustainable sales model that connects artistic expression with income-generating opportunities. By combining outreach activities with product sales, we are creating a structure that not only promotes the DDartists brand but also supports future program growth and fundraising efforts.

None of these accomplishments would be possible without your continued encouragement and generosity. Your support helps provide meaningful artistic opportunities, community engagement experiences, and pathways toward greater independence and inclusion for our artists.
