Lady survived cancer but disappeared because she was still homeless. Nine months later, I am still searching for her. In Lady's name, this project will help homeless animals survive as Georgia's new regulations add financial and legal barriers to rescue. Donations will fund urgent veterinary care, surgery, medicines and required registration costs - so compassion can still save a life.
Georgia's new animal welfare regulations have created additional financial, administrative and legal barriers for people who rescue homeless animals. Rescuers cannot become permanent owners of every injured, sick or abandoned animal they help, while identification, registration and veterinary costs add to an already heavy burden. For a homeless animal with no owner to pay these costs, these barriers can mean the difference between receiving help and being left behind.
This project will help cover the real costs of saving homeless animals: emergency veterinary care, diagnostics, surgery, medicines, vaccination, identification and registration. We will support urgent cases within Georgia's new legal framework, so that when someone finds an injured or seriously ill animal, lack of money for treatment or required procedures does not become the reason it is left without help.
By reducing the financial burden of rescue, this project can keep lifesaving help accessible to homeless animals under Georgia's new regulations. Each supported animal will receive a real chance to survive, while every case will be documented and shared with donors. In Lady's name, we want to create a reliable lifeline for animals that have no owner, no financial protection and no one else to pay the cost of saving them.
