Following the devastating back-to-back earthquakes that struck Venezuela in June, countless cats and dogs have been left injured, displaced and fighting to survive. ROLDA has connected with trusted local partners including La Manada de Bethoven, whose team is on the ground right now supporting vulnerable animals. We are sending urgent funds to help with rescue operations, and to provide essential supplies like food, water and care to animals caught in this disaster.
Right now there are animals trapped under collapsed buildings- injured, alone and crying out. They can't understand what happened, and are simply waiting for someone to find them. Others have been separated from the families who loved them, and wander lost through devastated communities with nowhere safe to go. Local rescuers refuse to leave them behind, but without urgent funding many animals won't be reached in time.
