Rahim is an orphan from Father House Orphanage in Muyuka, South-West Region, Cameroon. He is now in his second year of Geography in University of Buea. University fees and associated costs are too much for the orphanage to take care of alone. If we get the funding we will make sure he can pay for his University Fees and we will secure his most crucial expenses for the year, we will allocate some money for an economic activity that he can do at the same time than studying.
Rahim grew up in Father's House Orphanage on very harsh conditions that the orphanage and its partners (Reach Out among them) have been fighting to improve. They have done a great job, Rahim is living proof of it. But the orphanage cannot pay the kind of money required for Rahim to go to University during one full year, and now everything he has been working so hard for might be in danger.
This project is expected to fund registration, housing and feeding expenses for a year. It will also include the small cost of starting up in a micro business that is expected to help cover for the rest of expenses and save for next year. We will be there during the whole year to make sure everything works for him, but we are cutting down expenses to the minimum. For example there is no money allocated for new books, he will have to borrow them in the library
A young Cameroonian boy without family will study Geography. He's committed also to Father's House Orphanage, as that is the only family that he knows, and if successful he will certainly give back a lot to their 20 orphans and the ones to come, so the potential impact is enormous. He has already an inspiring story of personal achievement without much help from anyone, it is only fair that someone helps him make it to the finish line now.
