Thank you all for your support of our work to help children from Africa access the medical care they need and deserve.
"In December and January, our Kentucky Chapter was able to bring Amran from Ethiopia and Ganiou from Burkina Faso/Togo to the United States to have lifesaving heart surgeries that weren't available in their own countries. Amran had her heart surgery in late January and everything went beautifully. She is now completing her full recovery with her host family and preparing for her return home to Ethiopia. Also in late January, just a few days after Amran's surgery, Ganiou's condition began deteriorating quickly and they completed his heart surgery within a day of being admitted to the hospital. His procedure also went well and he is home recovering with his host family. Because of these surgeries, both Amran and Ganiou have improved conditions and live a much healthier and happier life. Both kids will return home in March!"
