The Gardi women group created big impacts with this project. They have started making benefits by selling fishes, ducks and chicken. Their annual turnover is around 5,000 USD. This entrepreneurial business has attracted other women of the village to become the member of Gardi women group. They are collecting NPR 200 monthly from each member and this amount has reache to be around 4,000 USD. The leadership role of Mrs. Hiramati Gurau is extraordinary. They have registered their organization in Madi municipality and Inland Revenue Office, Bharatpur and the organization is regularly audited. Some portion of the saved money is being distributed to the active members and they have employed 5 people as full time worker.
This year, the women group has received a global grant project of budget 35,000 USD, which is being spent on new fish pond, shed construction for poultry/duck farming and goat raising, sanitary pad and handicraft businesses. With this new project, the women group has become able to expand their entrepreneurial business in additional revenue generation activities.
