Nyara Youth Development – Connecting the Unconnected of Nyara Villages, South Africa! Thank you to our Network experts Wish.Org and LibConnect who donate their valuable time in managing our network! This campaign continues to be the main project of Nyara Youth Development, stretching towards empowering our rural youth with digital access and skills to narrow the digital divide they face daily by increasing the number of internet hotspots in the villages! We aim to increase the number to 20 by December 2024:)
We are excited to incorporate the new digital literacy course, a pilot DL course we participated in with Team4Tech, into our Aftercare school program – LeapUpHigh Ladder program!! Our Rural Wifi Network enables us to offer these courses for free, at our Resource Center! We have also incorporated the SkillsBuilder 21st Century skills into the curriculum. Loving the collaboration all round!!
It is our hope that our partners will continue along this journey with us, as we focus on digitally empowering the youth to participate in tech-enabled opportunities that drive inclusiveness, employment and economic transformation by providing access to 21st Century tools in our rural Nyara Villages.
