By Robyn Mafanya | Creating Wifi access for rural villages in Nyara
It is with immence gratitude that we share our first report for 2022 since the inception of our Rural WiFi Project in 'October' 2021.
Thanks to you, our donors, we've managed to raise $5 512 over the last 3 months!
With these funds we've managed to purchase all the equipment to set up our backbone structure which creates a wireless internet connection to the closest urban area, ensuring we can kickoff wifi access for 3 of the 5 villages in our pilot phase! We are still in the process of building this tower and hope to complete it by the end of January 2022 and will send updated photographs once built. We will however continue to raise funds to implement the smaller antennae infrastructure for the surrounding areas to get signal and WiFi access.
We look forward to continuing this journey of bridging the digital divide for rural South Africa with you and thank you for your generosity and kindness.
