Sadly, many countries across the world have seen orphanages as something of a defacto welfare system. The good news in Thailand is that Step Ahead through expanding and serving in their Keeping Families Together (KFT) program is helping Thailand move to a new view on how to care for vulnerable children and families.
KFT trains and encourages vulnerable families to learn, have fun, and grow together.
When children from Bangkok slums or poor rural villages enjoy a KFT day away at the water park or just get together to play games at a park and visit excellent things can begin to happen. Grannies and children learn that they have friends that face similar challenges as they do. And they see they can encourage one another more than they ever imagined. In a word- hope- grows up like a flower
Your support for such vulnerable children and families in Bangkok's largest slum of over 100,000 inhabitants, or in remote rural villages delivers that kind of hope that brings life and joy. Thank you for helping change lives across Thailand as we step ahead together.
