BFF has sponsoring 40 children is primary and secondary schools for 2013/2014 academic year. This has helped to mitigate the illiteracy rate in Cameroon society. Initiately we intended to sponsor 39 children this academic year but the resources at our disposal have made it possible for us to increase the number of opportunities.
BFF authorities have been working in close collaboration with school authorities in order to ensure the effectiveness of this project. At the end of the last academic term, the beneficiaries of the scheme were brought together to evaluate their successes, find out their their challenges and develop strategies for the way forward.
In deed all the children who have benefitted from this scheme had very good results and this has been very encouraging to us. Some of the students who had difficulties in spite of their good performances were provided the necessary didactic materials in order to further improve on their performance this term. Parents were encourage to assist the children back home to study rather abandoning them only to the teachers.
BFF continues to thank all those who are contributing in whatever way to make this scheme a success.
