Village Vision Care is helping vulnerable children in Uganda access and remain in school. We currently support 34 students and aim to reach 40 more with school fees, scholastic materials, uniforms and disability-related educational support, giving them a chance to learn, thrive and build a brighter future.
Many vulnerable children in Uganda face barriers to accessing and remaining in school because their families struggle to meet the costs of education. School fees, scholastic materials and uniforms can be difficult to afford, while children with disabilities may require additional support to participate fully in education. These challenges can leave children out of school or at risk of dropping out, limiting their opportunities to learn, develop their potential and build a better future.
Village Vision Care will support 40 additional vulnerable children to access and remain in school for one year. Support will cover school fees, scholastic materials, uniforms and disability-related educational needs where required. VVC will identify children based on their vulnerability and educational needs, provide the necessary support and monitor their school participation and progress.
By helping vulnerable children stay in school, the project will give them greater opportunities to gain knowledge, skills and confidence. In the long term, education can improve their future opportunities, strengthen families and help children contribute positively to their communities.
