Project Report | Oct 17, 2025
Agriculture Progress Report October 18, 2025

By Abihudi Kinyamgala | Project Leader

1. Introduction

Dear Esteemed Donors and GlobalGiving Team,

Warm greetings from Tanzania. On behalf of our entire team and the youth we serve, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your continued support and trust in our mission. Our project — Help 200 Youth in Sustainable Agriculture in Tanzania — continues to symbolize hope for young people and women seeking sustainable livelihoods through agriculture.

Although this reporting period (June–October 2025) has been marked by ongoing financial constraints, our team has remained fully committed to advancing this initiative through planning, networking, and advocacy activities.

2. Current Status and Activities

Unfortunately, due to the absence of new donations during this period, we were unable to implement new on-ground farming or training activities as planned. However, our efforts have been focused on sustaining momentum and preparing for future implementation once funding becomes available.

Key highlights include:

  • Community Engagement: We continued engaging with youth and local farmers to maintain their interest and readiness to resume agricultural activities when resources are secured.
  • Stakeholder Communication: We have reached out to local agricultural offices and development partners to explore potential funding collaborations and technical support.
  • Project Readiness: Updated training materials, farming plans, and partnership frameworks have been reviewed to ensure immediate readiness when funds are received.

These ongoing efforts reflect our deep commitment to ensuring that no progress made in previous phases is lost, and that our mission remains alive within the communities we serve.

3. Challenges

The main challenge continues to be lack of funding, which has affected our ability to:

  • Acquire and prepare agricultural land for training and demonstration plots.
  • Purchase irrigation tools, seeds, and farming materials.
  • Conduct structured youth training and mentorship sessions.

Despite this, our volunteer members and community partners remain motivated and are continuing to advocate for the importance of youth-led sustainable agriculture in Tanzania.

4. Future Plans

Once financial support resumes, we plan to:

  • Launch Two Demonstration Farms in the Ushirombo and Katoro areas to serve as training and production hubs.
  • Train 100 New Youth Participants on sustainable agriculture and agribusiness.
  • Introduce Drip Irrigation Systems to promote year-round cultivation and climate-resilient farming.
  • Strengthen Market Linkages to help youth sell their farm produce and sustain income.

5. Appreciation and Call to Action

We sincerely thank all our past donors and supporters whose contributions have kept this dream alive. Your generosity has already inspired dozens of young people to believe in agriculture as a viable path to self-employment.

We humbly appeal for your continued or renewed support, whether through:

  • Monthly recurring donations
  • One-time contributions
  • Sharing our project with your networks and organizations that support youth empowerment and climate-smart agriculture

Every act of generosity brings us closer to realizing a sustainable future for our youth and communities.

6. Conclusion

Though progress has temporarily slowed due to funding shortages, our vision remains strong. Together, we can reignite this transformative initiative and empower Tanzanian youth to become skilled, self-reliant farmers contributing to national food security.

Thank you for your unwavering belief in our mission. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth, resilience, and sustainability with you.
