164 stringed instrument cases were purchased more than 10 years ago and have passed through several children in the MUVI programme, so that wear and tear has become inevitable and repairs are no longer possible. If we do not have quality cases that can guarantee the safekeeping of the instruments, they are at risk. The students of MUVI do not have the financial capacity to pay for these cases, so we need your support.
164 MUVI string students have cases for their instruments in very poor condition, as these were purchased more than 10 years ago and have passed through several students over the years. The wear and tear on these cases is very noticeable, so much so, that they no longer fulfil their function of protecting the instruments. As MUVI is a programme that uses music as a tool for social transformation, it is of vital importance to take care of the musical area and, therefore, the instruments.
The instruments must be kept in the best conditions so that the current students can develop musical skills that will benefit them during their time at MUVI and throughout their lives. The acquisition of cases for the safekeeping of their instruments helps this purpose, in addition to the constant accompaniment of their teachers who teach them how to take proper care of each instrument.
The musical instruments that MUVI invested in are of a medium to high quality, which, with proper care, ensures that they can be used by several generations of pupils, so that more children can benefit from the MUVI programme. In addition to the instruments, the cases also have a lifespan of several years, thus ensuring that several generations of children can benefit from them.
