Despite challenges with the COVID19 pandemic and even under the grave concerns and security threats, our teachers and students worked hard, and all 160 women have graduated. Everyone received a certificate of completion and a set of sewing business start-up kits, including a brand new sewing machine. Most of them were illiterates and unable to support themselves before joining our program. Now they can read and write, and most of them have started working at home sewing clothes for neighbors. Many of them already reported making $20, $40, and even over $60 a month. Knowing that Afghanistan's average income is $50 a month, our graduated women are doing wonderful. Their lives have forever changed. We have empowered 160 Afghan women with literacy and tools to feed their families and send them to school.
"We would like to THANK YOU for your care, love, and support for Afghan women." We could not have done it without your support.
There are millions of impoverished women who are abandoned without education and protection. These are widows who lost husbands and women in chronic poverty. They are the most vulnerable people in Afghanistan. They are the victims of decades of violence and terror in Afghanistan. If you and I do not care for them, they will be lost without hope. With your continued support, we can reach out to many more women (and children) in Afghanistan and bring them the hope they never had before. Our work will touch their hearts and transform their lives forever.
Let us continue to serve the devastated women in Afghanistan.
