By Ruth Metzel | Executive Director
The Azuero Earth Project would like to thank you for your generous support for our 2016 Education Initiative on climate change in Azuero. With your help, we worked with teachers in 6 Azuero elementary schools to paint murals, create 2 days of games and interactive activities, reforest with native species, produce plays and screen movies – all about climate change and how to deal with its impacts on the peninsula. The initiative engaged 10 teachers, 94 volunteers, and 166 students and their families. Your support energized our team and enabled us to harness additional in-kind donations from 6 local businesses and a grant from the Melinda Gray Ardia Environmental Foundation. We invite you to check out our attached final report and pictures for more information on the initiative. Feel free to send any thoughts or comments to ruth@proecoazuero.org – thanks again and keep in touch!
Saludos,
Ruth
