Since we sent the last report on the activities of Vratsa Software on the Help 12 locals campaign, start a digital career in Vratsa on March 18, the students have completed another level of the courses. Some of them continued their training online, and the rest were trained live in our IT center.
The lectures are twice a week, we make a video recording of them and everyone who for some reason missed a lecture, must get acquainted with the new study material watching the video. Our students often receive homework and share it not only to the lecturers but also to the other students. Then everyone discusses the pros and cons together. This is a form of learning that, on the one hand, unites the group and, on the other hand, ensures that students learn from each other and interact well with each other. We from Vratsa Software aim to train quality specialists and create a community of IT people who can interact and help for the good of society.
We have wonderful news! Two of our students have already been hired for internships in digital companies, although the course has not even been completed. Meet Tosho Georgiev and Todor Todorov. They showed excellent results in their training and are our best students for the period 2020 - 2021. Their perseverance and dedication to their learning has paid off and they are already successfully internships in digital companies. They say that the principle of trial and error is the most valuable lesson, because without trying and even making a mistake, there is no way to learn. Both receive a full scholarship thanks to GlobalGiving and our donors.
In the meantime, we started free courses in other digital areas - digital marketing and software testing. The software testing course is organized for the first time by us. Both ended very successfully and we believe that at least 5 of the graduates will successfully find realization in their specialty. This trainings are part of the project "Direction Employment", implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the Youth Unemployment Fund, within the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. In Bulgaria the project is implemented by the "Workshop Foundation for Civic Initiatives Foundation". The training provider is Vola Software Ltd.
We take this opportunity to thank all our partners, faculty and students for their dedication and zeal in the heart for passing on your knowledge and experience. Of course, we also thank all the donors who supported our work. Your support means everything!
